This word appears appears on a number of occasions in a report regarding an investment fund and the fund managers (see below for the extracts). Whilst I appreciate that the word may not always have same meaning in every instance, it would seem that the general sense in most cases is the same or at least similar. I'm not sure whether this should be translated as "contrary", "contradictory", "inconsistent" or something else in this particular context. Any assitance is greatly appreciated.

Explanation:
Paul, this term is used to qualify an investor who takes a contrarian position. Best example is "bull" versus "bear". So in a "Bull market" this investor would take "Bearish position" Therefore I would translate this type of investor as "investisseur à contre-courant"
