Portuguese to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
Portuguese term or phrase: Suprimentos
In an org chart, under the "Administrativo Financeiro" section, there are listings for Contabilidade, Planejamento Financeiro, and Suprimentos.

Literally, I see 'supply' as the translation. So, is this supply chain? Or, cash management? Or what? So, in this context, what does 'suprimentos' mean?

Thanks!

Loans

Explanation:
It's a financial section so "loans" could fit your translation.

Unfortunately there is not much context to go by. So if it isn't "loans" but "supply" in this translation than better go with supply: I just need more context

Procurement

Explanation:
In Brazil, Área de Suprimentos is the Procurement (or in some companies the Purchasing Dept.) In your context there, this fits right in, as one of the depts. under the "Administrativo Financeiro".

Supplementary Capital Contributions

Explanation:
I strongly suspect this is another term for prestações suplementares

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
disagree  Mark Robertson: In a Portuguese context, at least, suprimentos and prestações suplementares de capital are not synonymous. Cf. arts. 210 - 213 and 243 - 245 of the CSC.
