Czymże jest przestępczość pospolita?

Zacytujmy L. Szredera, byłego komendanta głównego policji, z jego raportu obejmującego 10 miesięcy roku 2006. Decydujący wpływ na ilość przestępstw kryminalnych mają czyny pospolite przeciwko mieniu, tj. kradzieże cudzej rzeczy – 226 702 (31% ogółu przestępstw stwierdzonych), kradzieże z włamaniem – 141 493 (19%), rozboje – 28 821 (3,9%) oraz kradzieże samochodów – 25 013 (3,5%). Te kategorie dają razem ponad 57% przestępstw kryminalnych. Analizując je pod względem wysokości strat, ich struktura pokazuje, iż prawie połowa to czyny o stratach jednostkowych nie przekraczających 1000 – 2000 zł.
