After completion of the project, in producing the "as built" documentation, showing the additions and changes made relative to the original drawings. The term "rojos y amarillos" always appears in quotes. The idea is relatively simple, but what would be understood similarly by an English speaking designer/engineer/draughtsperson?

Under "Elaboración de la documentación definitiva"

"Usará un criterio de “rojos y amarillos” (añadidos frente a planos, reflejados en rotulador rojo. Eliminado respecto a planos, reflejado con un sombreado con rotulador amarillo), anotando persona responsable que decide la modificación, o que encuentra la discrepancia, y la fecha en la cual se ejecuta la modificación."

agree  Sergio Campo: Yes. In many areas, by convention, additions are marked in red and deletions in yellow in architectural projects. Since the explanation follows (in brackets) right after, I think this translation could work.
