Hello, I would like to know if the correct translation for "protruding vein" is vena protuberante, because apparently in Argentinian websites they use the term protuberante o sobresaliente. El contexto es tratamientos dermatológicos estéticos para la reducción de arrugas, manchas, etc

I suspect this is a varicose vein - a raised vein, usually on the leg, that you can have an operation to remove. Does that make sense in the context?

Or it could be a haemmaroid if it's in a particular place.
