Here's a great example of the hidden dangers of translating and abbreviating the translation: I am an American, and TIN tells me nothing whatsoever. I have an SSN (social security No.) and may also obtain an EIN (Employer Identification No.) for my business tax reporting. So instead of this TIN thingy, transliterate the original as RNN and just as mk lab suggested give the translation in brackets after the first use. I do tons of such documents, and this is more or less a standard practice here to avoid potential confusion. BIC is a rare exception where it actually stays the same in both languages, so BIC is good.
