memberships Explanation: If you take out an insurance policy with a company, aren't you then a member ? Not 100% sur about this, I may be thinking of "mutuelle" style cover. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 mins (2011-04-20 07:24:11 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Anyway, you're right to avoid "enrollment"! |

attachments (OR individual policies) Explanation: When I worked in insurance broking in the UK, "attachment" would be the word used each time that a new insured is added to a group insurance policy. The inception date of each insured's cover would be different within the period of the group policy and each individual cover would normally run for a period of 12 months, provided that the respective inception date fell within the period of the group policy. So, I would say "attachments under the group insurance policy", but you might prefer to use "individual policies", in which case, it would probably be advisable to say "group insurance contract" (rather than "group insurance policy") to avoid any confusion between the two. |

enrolments Explanation: Why avoid the word? This is about a group insurance policy. The underwriting is done at the level of the company or group. If they are not enrolled automatically, individual members of the group sign up ("subscribe") by filling out an enrolment form.
