No sé muy bien cómo decir "I have to check your blood sugar." en español? Esto se hace mediante una punción de la yema del dedo.
¿Qué opinan de lo siguiente?

Tengo que determinar la glucemia.
Tengo que ver la cantidad de glucosa presente en la sangre.

No sé, pero tengo la sensación de que la palabra "glucemia" es muy formal. ¿La entendería una persona sin conocimientos médicos? A lo mejor estoy muy equivocado.
