Social Sciences - Education / Pedagogy / University department
French term or phrase: Service des Usages du Numérique
This is the name of a university department. It's part of the "Direction du Système d'Information" and co-exists with the "Centre des Ressources Informatiques"

It's obviously not translatable as "Digital uses department" but would be "Digital department" be sufficient ? Or do I need to get a translation of those "usages" in somewhere ?

Plenty of hits on the internet for "Digital department" but I'm not sure it's exactly equivalent to "Service des Usages du Numérique "

Department of Digital Technologies
Explanation:
I think they are referring to the "Department of Digital Technologies".

Good Luck!

disagree  Lara Barnett: The problem is with using the term "Department of..." in a university context, is that it sounds like a faculty (e.g. Department of Modern Languages)

Learning Technology Support Service

Explanation:
My approach to translating this was to find out what such a department actually does, and then look for its counterpart in a British university.

Hits for "Services des Usages du Numérique" seem to be mostly at the Sorbonne, Strasbourg and in Réunion. The mission of the Sorbonne service seems to be to educate students in the uses of IT to support them in their various courses. (see first link). The Strasbourg service has a rather wider remit of developing online course materials etc.

University College London has a department with a similar mission which is called the "Learning Technology Support Service." (second link) It's not exactly snappy as a term, but I think you need the word support in there, as this is the IT jargon generally used when computer experts interact with ordinary users to solve their problems.

I don't think it is just "IT department," as this would imply a more overarching term in the hierarchy. The word "applications" has a particular specialised meaning in the context of IT--of developing software for particular real world use cases--and should probably be avoided unless this is actually what they are doing (which I doubt).
