Das Umschalten der beiden Schraubenverdichter erfolgt vor Ort im Handbetrieb.
Während der Schraubenverdichter 1 in Betrieb ist, wird von Hand der andere Verdichter 2 eingeschaltet. Anschließend wird von Hand der Verdichter 1 außer Betrieb genommen. So dass während Verdichter 2 „hochfährt“ der andere Verdichter 1 „runterfährt“. Dabei ist kundenseitig die Machbarkeit seitens 6kV zu gewährleisten.
Des Weiteren wird eine Störumschaltung der beiden Schraubenverdichter realisiert. Das bedeutet, dass bei Ausfall einer Schraubenverdichter-Unit aufgrund einer Störung, automatisch die andere Schraubenverdichter-Unit in Betrieb geht.
