Marketing Department / Marketing Division Explanation: This is short for 市場統括部. I have noticed from my previous employment that Japanese employees like to shorten department names in their internal emails by removing characters from the actual name (usually the 2nd and 4th character). In fact, the department I belonged to was called 経営戦略室 and my Japanese colleagues just wrote down 経戦 in their internal emails to refer to our group.
