Spanish term or phrase: 3/o lugar
This is a filled-in birth certificate form from Guerrero, Mexico, dated 1976. The whole phrase looks like this: "...Y PRESENTA a reg a un NIÑo vivo en 3/o lugar QUE NACIO EL…” Everything is quite clear exept for the 3/o lugar bit. Does it mean that the child is the third one for the couple? As always, I appreciate any and all input. Many thanks.

Explanation:
Hi Kathleen: I'm guessing that 3/0 frefers to "Third" and "Lugar" is part of the next pary:
"lugar QUE NACIO...", etc.

Saludos from Acapulco, Guerrero!

Again, I'm just guessing-but it seems logical that it refers to her 3rd child.

agree  Marjory Hord: Seems right to me, tho usually one abbreviates 1o, 2o, 3er

-> Thanks Marjory; The wording is a little mysterious; but "3rd place" doesn't make much sense to me: Saludos, eski

neutral  Dr Trevor Stack: I doubt it means third child. I suspect "En 3o lugar..." means "3. Place where born". May have been mis-transcribed from the registro
