Aparentemente, es una barrera en forma de V que se coloca entre las bandas transportadoras, al final del extremo de descarga (tail), pero más cerca de la inferior, que es la que vuelve vacía. Su función es desviar hacia los lados cualquier resto de grano que se haya derramado entre las correas. Más que nada, les dicen "V-plows".

• Set V-plow on inside of return belt (Combi-T V-Plow Assembly, http://richwood.com/pdfs/RocKnockerVPlow-8-06.pdf )

• The V-Plow keeps spillage away from the tall pulley and cleans the return side of the belt (Gordon V-Plow, http://www.mechtronicsltd.com/conveyor-accessories.htm )

• V-Plows are typically installed into the tail section at the factory. A V-Plow works as a dam. It holds back spilled material. The V-Plow prevents the conveyor from shut-down due to a plugged up pulley. The V-plow helps direct spilled material to the sides and onto the paddle/flippers of the tail section where it can reload. Ahora bien, las posibles traducciones son arado, paleta, cepillo, escoplo (Diccionario politécnico de las lenguas española e inglesa, http://books.google.com/books?id=ZIU4-UjfzYcC&pg=PA1067&dq="... ). Ninguna sirve, porque más bien es esto: http://chrislenart.info/commercial-snow-plow.html . De allí mi sugerencia de usar "tope" o "pala".

En cuanto a "assembly", "conjunto" es una traducción estándar, aunque algunos prefieren montaje, ensamblaje, estructura...
