this is the term for structural members of a fuselage, the ties (tirantes) are used to join the frame components and resist "shear" (in other words failure due to a sliding or slicing action)
"Tirante" can sometimes be confused with a "rod" which is also a form of a tie. This is not dictionary stuff, I dredged it up from days as a glider pilot and engineering student.

Na minha pesquisa, «shear» significa cisalhamento. Ao pesquisar esta palavra, deu-me como resultado o seguinte: no caso dos helicópteros existem peças denominadas de «parafusos de cisalhamento».

Em baixo deixo um link do exemplo que encontrei, onde, na parte de «Segurança», encontrará este termo.
