In our software, we call "snap" to the action of automatically capture the mouse position when it is close to a singular point like: middle of line, end of line, intersections, circle center, etc. The user should activate the tools, one by one. The command "Release Snaps" deactivates all them in just one step.

Ik weet wat er wordt bedoeld maar kom niet op de Nederlandse term. Ik heb gezocht op 'snap', en dat komt sporadisch voor. Ik heb het idee dat er een betere term is.

Maar Microsoft zegt ook "magneet" en dat vind ik hier beter passen. Maar er is zeker nog een betere term voor.

Explanation:
Altijd lastig te vertalen. Combinaties met magnetisch of magneet worden ook wel gebruikt, ook door Microsoft trouwens.
Maar uitlijnen kan inderdaad ook.
