Ho già spulciato i precedenti KudoZ relativi a "bottom(s)", ma nessuno fa al mio caso.
Ecco il contesto:

On Chart A ***percent to bottoms*** is plotted against the boiling point (BP) of the (pseudo) component. The best possible straight line is drawn through the points and extended
down through Chart B.

From Chart A, the boiling point corresponding with the intersection of the line with 50 % to ***bottoms*** line is read. This is the ECP.

***Percent to bottoms*** is just another way of expressing the distribution coefficient and
is related to the distribution coefficient by: Percent to bottoms = (1 − Di) 3 X 100

mmmmm....non so dove, avevo trovato dei link che traducevano con "fondoscala" il tuo termine. non appena ho un po' di tempo continuo la ricerca fornendoti dei riferimenti.

Asker: Intanto grazie per la ricerca. Però sono molto perplessa perché da nessuna parte nel mio testo compare "scale" o "bottom scale" o "full scale". E poi non mi spiego quella "s" di "bottomS"... mumble mumble...

Asker: Ciao Marika, grazie ancora per il tuo tentativo di risolvere la mia questione. Io ho continuato a ragionarci e sono giunta alla conclusione che non può essere "percentuale sul fondo scala", specialmente nel mio terzo esempio, dove dice che *percent to bottoms* è solo un altro modo di esprimere il coefficiente di distribuzione. Grazie comunque!
