7.3.1 – Fatores Ambientais
Como regra geral, é tolerada a exposição ao ruído de, no máximo, oito horas diárias, contínuo ou intermitente, com média ponderada no tempo de 80 dB (NA), ou uma dose equivalente. No caso de níveis elevados de pressão sonora de impacto, o limite é de 130 dB (NA) com medidor operando no circuito linear e circuito de resposta para impacto.
Entretanto, é comum, em condições normais de trabalho, a coexistência de outros fatores que podem agredir diretamente o órgão auditivo ou através da interação com o ruído, influenciando o desenvolvimento da perda auditiva. Alguns destes fatores merecem referência:
a) Agentes químicos: solventes (tolueno, xileno, estireno, tricloroetileno, dissulfeto de carbono), fumos metálicos (chumbo, cádmio, mercúrio), gases asfixiantes (monóxido de carbono);
b) Agentes físicos: vibrações, radiação e calor;
