Schlüssel/Batches

Our heating system has a switch which overrides the usual evening turning-of time for use in case one is staying up late and wants to keep the heating on in the flat. The switch is graphically illustrated with a pair of clinking champagne glasses. I can understand their message better than our heating engineer who refers to it as the "Body-Taste" (or so it sounds).

Okay you're doing German to EN obviously. Now hear me on this, this happened to me before when I lived in Germany and it's kinda ridiculous but true story.

On modern buildings you will often get these magnetic swipe cards for the garage and whatnot these days, and they are called badges by some manufacturers. I have had a lease in Berlin a few years back and it said the same thing "keys/batches. Obviously I was puzzled. Turns out what actually happened there was that they wanted to put "badges" into the contract meaning the swipe cards, but whoever created the contract wrongly wrote "batches", a word confusion.

Dunno if this is the case here, but it smacks a lot of it, since obviously there is no German "Batch" of anything.

Would make sense tho, you get 3 keys and badges.
