Explanation:
I usually interpret "realizzato" as "made" because it normally refers to part of an object (e.g. a flared end of a tube that functions as a flange) or to an action performed on an object (e.g. a hole made in a surface).
On the other hand, if it refers to a separate part mounted on another object, then "located" or "positioned" as mentioned by Jim and Audrey, or "arranged", are fine (although strictly speaking, the Italian text should use "disposto/collocato/posizionato" etc. and not "realizzato").
As always, it depends ... a good idea is to look at the accompanying drawings, which are often clearer than the descriptive text!
