I was just curious as to why people vote the way they do, it's a bit like the US elections.....or British ones for that matter. But definitely, first and foremost, it's a community of help, certainly when one is asking the question that is the most important thing.

Merely an explanation regarding what appears to be a "duplication" of the same answer (nautical sporting event). It has nothing to do with one person being a member or partial member. If you will note, both answers were submitted at 10 mins (after the question was posting). I am not absolutely 100% how it works but there are several servers and the times depend on when the servers sync. You and I for example, may not necessarily be on the same server. In any case, I just want to stress that I am not upset in the least that your answer was chosen, as this is not the point of ProZ. What is important is the spirit of participation. Both askers and posters are free to chose whomever they wish, and what is important is that the best possible answer given the context is chosen. Saludos to all!

derives from 'deporte nautico', a concept that usually translates either as sailing or watersports.

1) can anyone please explian why 2 answers exactly the same and mine has only 1 agree whilst the other has 4??????????? mine was logged before as well!!??????
2)we are not suggesting 'nautical sport' but 'nautical sporting event' the difference being that 'sporting' is an adjective.... 'nautical sport' would sound strange
