Hi

I am translating a document regarding the communication protocol between a “clavier” and a “générateur basique”. I am unsure of how to translate “foyer” in this text. Some examples of its usage are:

*Octet 2 : Configuration Foyer 1
*Niveau Foyer avant de 0 à 250
*Valeur Timer Foyer arrière

agree  Sheila Wilson: It's not my specialisation but I believe we use "site" very frequently for a place containing IT kit, whether networked or not

focus

Explanation:
From the little context you've given it might be this.

The only references to front and back focus I can see are connected with photography. But might it be that your basic generator, generates light and that the keyboard gives instructions to this generator?
