tracer (high explosive) shell Explanation: spårljus = tracer spränggranat = high explosive shell Had trouble finding anyone using the full Swedish term altogether though. One site mentioned "Spårljusspränggranat" in a catalogue of Swedish WWII munitions and suggested it had a corkscrew appearance (I presume when fired). But I couldn't find any definitive sources "sporlysgranat" is a "tracer shell" and "sprenggranat" a "common shell" in my Norsk-engelsk militær ordbok (ed. Olav Ark). |
