I was thinking of using "cut up and rearranged"... the problem is that I will use "arrangements" for "arreglos" in the next line of the sentence...

agree  Emma Goldsmith: Yes, abridged is nice, but I don't think you can leave out "entre sí". How about "abridged and adapted in the form of a medley"?
