I am unable to find the meaning of IRT. I am translating a administrative text for a hospital in France.

Context: dans le cadre des appels à projets Recherche, la recherche en santé a mobilisé X€ de subventions régionales et la thématique «X», X€ (13%) ; au cœur de l’activité de l’IRT.

The text as a whole is about financing for research projects. My best idea is that it could stand be translated as "Therapeutic research institute" in English.
