adjustment (premium) Explanation: Certain insurance premiums (in particular many liability policies) are based on an up front "deposit" (or "minimimum and deposit") premium and then adjusted at the end of the policy period by means of an "adjustment" premium based on a rate applied to the actual turnover achieved (for example) in the policy period.
