neutral  Emma Paulay: Except that we seem to be talking about the future here, not the past. In 2007-8 they realised just how important the "parcours" is and should be taken into account for the future.//As usual, more context would help.

-> That would mean ensuring that as soon as an exhibition is secured (even before it opens), it is added to the published exhibition history. It is quite usual to include forthcoming exhibitions.

exhibition process (from pre-selection to actual exposition in museum)

Explanation:
Hello,

I've googled and seen that it means slightly different things, depending on the context. I gather the general sense, but what is the "parcours"? It goes from where to where?

Also, if the author uses "voyages" to mean the "itinerary" of the works (going to place to place for exposition purposes), then perhaps "parcours" is something different than that.

I hope this helps.

neutral  B D Finch: Exposition is indeed an English word, but it means either expounding ideas etc. verbally, in writing or musically; or it can mean a large public exhibition, but generally industrial or arts and crafts, rather than fine art.
