...about a walk around Paris. Earlier, it claimed that each walk would take over 2 hours, which seems rather a contradiction here!
It's the "comment y prendre...." that has me stumped here, and I'd be most grateful for any help - many thanks! I can't think of anything that both sounds good in English and also makes sense!

Asker: you're right. And I also misinterpreted "y prendre", looking for something far more complicated that simply wouldn't fit in with the rest of the text. It took me a while, but I did eventually figure out where I had gone wrong and why your answer is so appropriate - as well as idiomatic... :)

Your mind is obviously made up, but I am still going to post an answer for clarify things.

comme = (just) like

y = effectuer le parcours (at it, on it)

prendre la journée = to spend the day
