Não faz mal! Para dizer a verdade, quando nasci escrevia-se com "z" mas por força de uma reforma ortográfica passou a escrever-se com "s" em Portugal. Escusado será dizer que a adaptação levou algum tempo (o mesmo se passará, aliás, com o acordo ortográfico!).
