or "manuportage". Term used to describe the transmission method of e.g. an influenza virus. Occurs frequently at WHO.int, John Libbey, etc. websites but I can't find a page that will give me the English equivalent. I assume it refers to transmission through hand-to-hand/hand-to-mouth contact but is there an official term in English? Many thanks for any help.

  -> I believe "hands" my give the wrong focus. The important factor in virus transmission is contact, and it just happens to be hand contact in most cases, but not necessarily in all.
