French term or phrase: bourgmestre
Sé que es como un Alcalde, es decir, en Francia es Maire, pero en Bélgica se llama así, bourgmestre. No sé si se podría traducir igualmente como Alcalde o hay otro término que se asemeja más por las funciones que puede tener éste en su país (Bélgica).

DRAE: Primer magistrado municipal de algunas ciudades de Alemania, los Países Bajos, Suiza, etcétera.

Es la traducción que propone asimismo el Dictionnaire juridique de Olivier MERLIN WALCH.
