It seems like the term "up direction"/"down direction" is used internationally, BUT with different meaning on particular lines or in particular parts of a country. Vid dubbelspår är uppspåret det vänstra spåret i riktning upp och nedspåret det vänstra spåret i riktning ned. Vad som är upp och ner framgår av den grafiska tidtabellen.
