Thanks! Redeployment consultant seems more appropriate than redundancy consultant in the given context, since researchers in academia aren't normally made redundant, but simply don't receive another grant to continue their current research.

@ Asker.
I don't see any problem, David. Although this is academia, it is still a job for the people who work there. If the misconduct is serious enough, the university will wish to rid themselves of this individual and may well call on the services of an outplacement consultant to help find them another job, even though they are firing them rather than making them redundant.

Asker: OK, but does that make any sense in the context of misconduct in academia? One instance was a case of poor administration of a research group (waste and corruption) and the other related to suspected administrative misconduct in connection with a visiting researcher/lecturer.

redundancy consultant

Explanation:
In another term.. redundancy consultant, someone who handles people being laid off from a workplace and creates pathways for these people being made redundant so that they obtain suitable employment of retirement for the future.. Many Unions have a section which assists employers with this when there is mass layoffs due to a downturn in business as was seen during the GFC

It is a HR (Human Resource management) term and a global term.. I can only answer the Question based on your information.
""What is meant is actually a kind of internal advice unit (organizational unit), which specializes in dealing with the problem of advising people who have been laid off/fired (providing profile analysis, identifying new career perspectives etc."

You seem to be asking many questions here, looking at your reply to Sheila and myself, it would be very helpful if you posted the question correctly with all the information in it first up and in English.

Asker: Thanks, sounds good! But does that work in the given context too? I'm not really sure about "redundancy consultant in the science sector" or even "redundancy consultant in science".
