It occurrs to me that the only way out of this dilemma is to warn the authors of the dictionaries about their errors, mistakes, ommissions etc. The dictionaries are the only means for help in translation business, so it is necessary to try to improve them. In my free time I will try to find out and contact aforementioned author and let her know... and you also about her reaction.

disagree  Gerry Vickers: steemed?? If anything, 'steamed sheep's cheese' Edit: In response to the below - don't believe everything that you see in dictionaries :) I have seen some absolute howlers in there ... take with a pinch of salt - this is patently incorrect in two respects
