Eisei no Megumi Ureshi no Cha (tea) Explanation: Please see the website - it shows images of the packaging for the tea. I think it would be a little unnatural to try to translate it directly into English and I think it looks good in Japanese. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 37 mins (2010-04-26 02:31:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- It's like a special commemorative tea product that's related to JAXA (Japan Space Exploration Agency). 「衛星の恵み」を試飲できなかったのが、残念なカンジ>< いつか、飲んでみたいな -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 41 mins (2010-04-26 02:35:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The Ureshino refers to the city of manufacture. "Eisei no Megumi" Ureshino Tea or Tea from Ureshino -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2010-04-26 03:49:27 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I think translations of products can seem corny. Maybe you can use the romaji and put a translation in parentheses to inform English readers? This has nothing to do with this tea, but I had the distinct pleasure of interpreting for the president of JAXA 4 years ago...And was invited to interpret for him in India 3 years ago (I couldn't go that time.) It was a most interesting experience. :-) Example sentence(s):

the "Salellite Blessing" Ureshino Tea Explanation: Obviously this is a copywriting job, and a translator can only make a suggestion. This is one that I would make. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2010-04-26 07:30:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Or "Heavenly Blessing"........ I like this better. |

Eisei no Megumi―Ureshino Tea (Quality green tea product singled out as natural blessings harvested f Explanation: Eisei no Megumi―Ureshino Tea (Quality green tea product singled out as natural blessings harvested from select green tea fields in Ureshino City of Saga Pref. via JAXA COSMODE PROJECT [collaborative project with JA Saga]) It seems this product is neither trademark nor registered trademark. So, it is recommendable to write it in Japanese first followed by English explanation enclosed in parentheses for supplementary explanation for the sake of English-speaking people. 参考: http://jasaga.or.jp/nousanbutsu/tea/ureshino_cha/index.html http://shopping.msn.co.jp/specs/shp/?itemId=26137299,amp;ful... http://www.saga-s.co.jp/news/saga.0.1233590.article.html http://www.unkar.org/read/gimpo.2ch.net/scienceplus/12409814... |

Green Tea from Ureshino, Saga -- specially grown under Cosmode Project Explanation: I don't think direct translation of 恵み is necessary as target consumer would be non-Japanese speaking. Such word only confuse potential buyers. |
