era of oil magnates' opportunism Explanation: There's a Russian word "конъюнктурщик". It means opportunist, time-server and has a negative connotation. I think конъюнктура is used here in the meaning of "time of oil opportunists", when oil magnates were allowed too much, Khodorkovski's arrest marking the end of this time. |
