Buonasera a tutti. Sto traducendo un capitolo di un libro sulle storia delle tattiche di calcio. C'è un termine che riguarda la difesa di cui però non riesco a trovare una corrispondenza esatta. Premetto che si tratta dei primi periodo del calcio, quando si giocava delle scuole private e ancora non si conoscevano schemi, tattiche, eccecc. Allora il testo è:

"essentially prefects or older pupils would run with the ball at their feet, their team mates lined up behind them ('backing up') in case the ball bounced loose in a tackle"

Può essere "arretramento"? Su internet non sono riuscita a trovare nulla.
