Intr-adevar, am avut cazuri in care clientul m-a rugat sa gasesc un mod de a modifica unii termeni deoarece americanii, de exemplu, au facut ochii mari cand au citit traducerea, desi la noi era incetatenita. Cand am putut, am facut modificarea, daca nu sc

traducerile numelor lor insa nu intotdeauna.
Mai ales ca vad din linkuri ca s-a tradus si ca Real Estate Publicity (pe romaneste "furculision") si ca Land Registry - asa cum apare in tarile vorbitoare de lb engleza
Care din doua ?
Askerul va decide ce vrea intrucat el semneaza traducerea si raspunde de ea

Nu trebuie sa-i gasim intotdeauna un echivalent. Mai ales atunci cand este prezentata sub aceste forme de ceva vreme in Europa (PHARE, etc).

1. sau traducem titlul si ne rugam sa inteleaga clientul desprece e vorba
2. ii dam ca solutie o institutie echivalenta cu aceleasi atributii care ii e familiara si pe care o intelege
3. nu traducem numele institutiei

Eu am mers cu solutia 2, dorind ca "impricinatul" sa inteleaga despre ce e vorba
Daca ar fi sa aleg intre un nume de institutie tradus mot-a-mot sau netradus as alege netradus
Sau ii spui pe numele sau in limba respectiva sau il lasi in pace

Askerul insa e liber sa alege cum crede ca e mai bine caci e clientul sau si el raspunde de traducerea sa

Ii doresc mult succes !

It looks like the Cadastre office is also including Geodesy and Cartography...
