Creo que sobra decir que "backpack" es mochila, morral; pues bien, se suele usar en forma figurada ese término para cuando se desee explicar la idea de juntar cierta cantidad de cosas para un fin o un período de tiempo.

Incluyo un enlace al Victoria and Albert Museum en el que enseña y explica para qué y cómo pueden los museos elaborar estos paquetes familiares.
