In materiale tecnico di produttore di materiale per la protezione passiva all'incendio trovo: "The core of the system is a *primed* PROMATECT®-40 board"
(si tratta di fire board = lastra antincendio).
Non capisco esattamente cosa significhi primed in questo contesto.
Non vi sono spiegazioni ulteriori. Mi viene da pensare che il priming qui possa essere trattamento di applicazione di un fondo... Ho trovato materiale in inglese riferito a prodotto dello stesso cliente, della stessa gamma la seguente frase: "Working and Processing

Si intede forse che in questo caso il prodotto deve essere verniciato, deve essere applicato un fondo? E nella frase in questione primed come potrebbe essere reso? Explanation:
Priming è la mano di fondo, che serve per promuovere l'adesione delle mani successive (verniciatura, stampa, patinatura). In questo caso però, il trattamento sembra avere uno scopo opposto, auello di un repellente, tale probabilmente da non fare incendiare la lastra stessa. Per tale motivo, è sufficiente la parola "trattata".
