I just noticed that Takako-san said that 徒御 is a typo of 渡御 and that is a good point.
My Nelson's Character Dictionary defines 渡御 as "proceed to". I therefore remain with my answer "procession" as it is a variant form of the word "proceed."

agree  humbird: Agree with "procession". It connotes ceremonial importance. However, Takako-san is incorrect. It can be both 徒御 and 渡御, as many archaic words are. Besides when you google, the former has more hits than the latter.
