I realise that this question has already been asked but the answer did not seem to be conclusive. This is in a post-mortem examination and describes how the cranial cavity was opened up. It seems to make sense to me that it is an incision from ear to ear as my research shows that this is the most common one but I wondered if anyone could give me a definitive answer and tell me if there is an English name for this type of incision?
