It depends on (a) destination [UK =/= US], (b) language! (This seems to be the wrong pair: It should have been asked in a Spanish to English translation pair.

Hector's last entry is perfectly correct for the US - but in the UK we would write "must include an earth(ing) conductor." And for Asker's other expressions we would use 'earth' OR 'ground' depending on the precise circumstances.

(each) wiring system ("circuit" should be better) must include a ground conductor. (se supone que tal conductor está conectado a tierra). Saludetes

En fin, quería saber como traducir "los sistemas de alambrado deben tener un conductor puesto a tierra". Tendría que haber empezado por ahí!!

Margaret,
I know that but sometimes it is useful for some translator to have the "term vs term" so you can get the difference between them.
If Proz penalizes that I would no longer ask those types of questions. Sorry for that.

En realidad estoy traduciendo al Inglés, en el texto que estoy traduciendo dice por ej. "identificación de conductores a tierra" "los sistemas de alambrado de usuario deben tener un conductor puesto a tierra", me puse a investigar y no podía llegar a una conclusión. Gracias

It would also help if you gave the full sentence ofeach. Also, according to the Kudoz rules, you can only ask for one term at a time for the sake of the glossary and for other translators to use them in the future.

brinde ejemplos de frases que contengan los términos. En general se trata de conexiones a tierra pero es difícil contestar de forma general. A primera vista es conectado a tierra, conexión a tierra y conductores de puesta a tierra pero los "inglishgraiters" son muy especiales por estos días.
