Solo un'altrenativa alla bella soluzione di Elena.
Un tentativo di conservare 'knallen', 'botto'. Espressione molto usata a Roma: 'ho speso un botto'

Inoltre ho trovato un'interessante forum terminologico su LEO (1° link), nel quale si conferma l'esatezza delle ns. soluzioni.
L'espressione (come collocation) è talmente entrata nella lingua tedesca, che si ritrovano siti, quali: 'knallhart'

L'idea anche ritrovata nell'articolo/video (2° link) è proprio quella di 'calcolare al millesimo/centesimo', perchè si arriva con difficoltà alla fine del mese. L'espressione quindi rimane attualissima e sta guadagnando terreno (Press)
