French term or phrase: à sa cave
I'm a bit baffled by the use of "à sa cave" in this extract from from a Swiss lease for commercial premises. The normal meaning of "cave" seems very unlikley to me, so, if anyone can help shed any light, I would be very grateful.

“Outre les obligations mises à sa charge par la loi, le Conditions générales, règles et usages locatifs du canton du XXXXX et les dispositions contractuelles, Le locataire s’engage à :
a) renoncer sans indemnité à sa cave pour le cas où les autorités exigeraient la construction ou la modification des abris de protection civile ;…"

cellar
Explanation:
I believe the "normal meaning" is the only possible one, as indeed the context makes clear. The tenant agrees to give up the use of the cellar in the event that the authorities require civil protection shelters to be built or modified.

IMO this means the tenant will renounce the use of the cellar if it will be needed for Civil Defense purpuses.

forfeit the use of their cellar

Explanation:
I think it is the straightforward sense. It used to be that the Swiss authorities could make you turn your cellar into a nuclear bunker, I think. Someone may find a good reference, but I'm sure this is what this is about.

relinquish their cellar

Explanation:
Just a thought - the person not only forfeits the use of their cellar, they actually lose possession of it.
