target markets Explanation: They wish to recruit people who will be able to exert influence over others and, whilst 'obvious' works perfectly well, I think 'target' reflects the nature of the operation. |

natural markets Explanation: Good grief. Nobody else is suggesting the cognate adjective, but it's the natural choice! The natural markets for any type of insurance are the classes of natural customers for it: those who, by nature, have a need for it. People without cars are not natural customers for car insurance; people without dependents are not natural customers for life insurance. 'obvious', 'target' and 'standard' get close, but 'natural' gets it right on the nose. (Why wouldn't the writer have said 'évidents', 'cibles' or 'standards' if one of those was intended?) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 days4 hrs (2010-01-11 03:26:20 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- See also http://www.onlineorganizing.com/NewslettersArticle.asp?newsl... |
