Curling ist ein Eisspiel und besteht aus zwei Mannschaften zu je vier Spielern die versuchen die 20 kg schweren Curlingsteine möglichst in den Zielkreis zu spielen und gleichzeitig gegnerische Steine von dort weg zu bekommen. Die zwei Mannschaften spielen ihre Curlingsteine abwechslungsweise in den gegenüberliegenden Zielkreis, der auch Haus genannt wird. Punkte gibt es jeweils für dasjenige Team, welches seine Steine am nächsten beim Zentrum platziert hat.
