Salve colleghi! Sto traducendo una prescrizione medica post-ricovero e mi sono letteralmente "imballata" a questo punto. Dalle immagini su internet mi pare di capire che si tratta di un sostegno per l'avambraccio, ma davvero non saprei come renderlo. La frase completa è "volarer Unterarmlonguette mit Daumenbett", qualcuno ha qualche idea? razie e buon lavoro :-)

Ci sono alcuni siti in internet. Si usa anche faccia volare (in opposizione a dorsale).
In alternativa: stecca posizionata sulla faccia /parte volare dell'avambraccio

E' chiaro che dipende dal contesto.Può essere stecca o bendaggio rigido. Comunque, spero che i siti possano esserti d'aiuto.

Explanation:
Ogtgi in molti casi il classico gesso non si usa più - ti mettono dei "tutori"- costosi- (e te le paghi di tasca tua- altrimenti ti ingessano - esperienza docet ) ma più comodi. E in più v'è l'imbottitura - perfino con le piume pare! Questa non la sapevo- e mi pare un pò antiigenico...

ora che sono un pò più seria- il tutore si porta di solito dopo la fase "gesso- e può durare mesi. è evidente che un tutore con un imbottitura interna - da sollievo. Questo non toglie- anche con le mie spiegazioni strampalate- che di tutore si tratta
