Asker: Hola, Lydia. Hice la pregunta justamente porque, como habrás visto, lo que se me ocurre es "asunto" pero no le encuentro el sentido. ¿Podrías por favor darme una explicación de tu respuesta? Muchos cariños y gracias. :-)

Asker: Por eso: renuncia a un asunto...?? pero mil gracias igual por tu aporte y tu tiempo, y ya veremos qué dicen otras personas.

Asker: Veo que hay muchos y muy respetados colegas que te apoyan, qué bueno. Y me resulta súper útil el aporte de Paul, desde la práctica judicial.

agree  Paul García: No sé si sea uso excesivo, pero todos los funcionarios, jueces, abogados, intérpretes que trabajamos en ese ambiente (EEUU) decimos "matter" para asunto, causa, caso... Suerte.
