I think there are arguments for several different words here. "Lecturing", it's true, is used mainly in an academic context, but they do talk about guest lecturers (or just "speakers") in the context of company seminars.

I would use either-or. Nevertheless, I have a notrion that "lecturing" is mostly used in the academic context (as already mentioned). There are lecturers at universities who deliver "lectures", who are "lecturing".

When someone is providing just a training, vocational training, seminars...then I would say s/he is rather "teaching", but it's a matter of perspective.

I think that "teaching" is more regular (part-time or full-time) academic activity. I wouldn't call giving an occasional lecture - as a part of organising courses, seminars etc.- "teaching". But then again; I'm not native speaker.
