Intelligence Oversight Committee Act Explanation: would be my choice for the short title. The Gesetz über die parlamentarische Kontrolle nachrichtendienstlicher Tätigkeit des Bundes (Kontrollgremiumgesetz - PKGrG) governs the establishment and activities of a Bundestag committee to oversee the intelligence activities of the BND, the Abschirmdienst and the BfV. For the long title, I'd probably go with something like "Act on Parliamentary Supervision of Federal Intelligence Activities" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2009-10-19 18:54:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- make that Parliamentary Oversight Reference: http://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/pkgrg/BJNR234610009.html |

Act on Parliamentary Supervisory Committees (PKGrG) Explanation: The full title is: "Gesetz über die parlamentarische Kontrolle nachrichtendienstlicher Tätigkeit des Bundes (Kontrollgremiumgesetz - PKGrG)" This version had about 200 google hits (see reference), but I also found two other versions: Parliamentary Control Panel Act (PKGrG) http://www.dcaf.ch/_docs/legal_intel_oversight/Section IV_Pa... Law on the supervision of federal intelligence activities (PKGrG) http://cryptome.org/echelon-ep.htm The version I selected as an answer also covers the aspects of the law best IMO.
